Assistant Volleyball Coach
Jackie Bartnicki is entering her 3rd season as the Graduate Assistant for the Concordia-Chicago Volleyball Program.
“I am incredibly thrilled to expand my role in Concordia’s volleyball program," said Bartnicki. "I hold a deep personal connection to this sport and institution, so I am looking forward to what I can learn from Coach Troy Campbell as a former player of his.”
A Chicago native, Bartnicki played volleyball and basketball all four years at Guerin College Preparatory High School in River Grove. She was captain for both varsity teams and received the Metro-Suburban All-Conference Awards three years in a row. She helped take their volleyball team to the Sectional match against the team that won state that year, Timothy Christian High School, in 2012.
She went on to play both basketball and volleyball at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. She helped take the Chaparrals to a 20-7 record in the 2012-2013 basketball season, clinching a regional championship.
As the captain on the volleyball team at College of DuPage, she totaled 534 assists in the 2013-2014 season. She graduated in the summer of 2014 with an Associate’s Degree in Arts, specializing in Psychology.
Bartnicki transferred to Concordia University Chicago and joined the volleyball team in Coach Campbell’s inaugural season. She was captain/setter for the Cougars with a game high of 45 assists against Rockford in 2014. She played two seasons for the Cougars and ended her volleyball career with a total of 603 assists and 231 digs.
She has coached summer volleyball camps for Concordia, setter camps for Sports Performance, and sand volleyball camps for Triple Ace. She has coached for several area volleyball clubs: FOCUS, Hitmen, Rampage, and Triple Ace.
Jackie graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Sociology in 2016. She is enrolled in CUC’s Master’s program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
